The mission of the Advising and Transfer Services Office is to assist students in accomplishing their academic, career, and lifelong learning goals. Advisors assist students with understanding their degree requirements, developing an academic plan, and preparing for successful transfer or employment.

ACADEMIC PLANNING
Academic Advisors assist students with choosing a degree and major that align with their plans for transfer and employment. Students are encouraged to use Student Planning to review and customize their academic plan, keep track of degree requirements, and register for classes.
TRANSFER RESOURCES
Successful transfer from OCC requires planning. The Academic Advising staff can help students access information on two- and four-year colleges/universities and plan courses to parallel the first two years at the four-year institution where they plan to transfer. Students interested in transferring should meet with an advisor early in their career with OCC. For more information, view a tutorial on how to use NJ Transfer.
CAMPUS RESOURCES
OCC provides students a wealth of academic and campus resources. In Advising and Transfer Services, we work to connect students with appropriate campus resources, helping you access all the benefits OCC offers.
