Stories of Art and Crime: A Talk by John Barelli
After nearly 40 years as Chief Security Officer at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, John Barelli retired and documented some of his most memorable crime-solving stories in his book, Stealing the Show: A History of Art and Crime in Six Thefts. He will share some highlights on November 9th at 12:30 p.m. in the Gateway Lecture Hall, followed by a book signing co-sponsored by the Humanities and Social Sciences. All are welcome, and instructors are encouraged to bring their classes.
