Ocean County College to Hold Veterans Day Ceremony on Nov. 11

TOMS RIVER, NJ — The Ocean County College community will commemorate Veterans Day with its annual Salute to Veterans on Tuesday, November 11 at 12 p.m. to honor the brave men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. 

The ceremony will take place at the Veterans Memorial on the College’s main campus in Toms River. This event is open to the public and no registration is required. 

Speakers will include Ocean County College students Sergeant Matt Rose, U.S. Marine Corps; Sergeant Trevon Marcell Hunter, U.S. Army; and Specialist Liyannys Feliz Barbosa, U.S. Army; along with Petty Officer First Class Brock Torre, U.S. Coast Guard, a student at Kean Ocean. 

Other highlights include remarks from Dr. Pamela Monaco, president of Ocean County College; music by the OCC Concert Band, and the sounding of Taps by Mr. Ross Eadie.  

All activities will be held rain or shine.
