High School Diplomas and/or GEDs are not required for admission to Ocean County College. However, they are required for financial aid eligibility and for admission into our Nursing Program.
If you earned the credits at another school, you’ll need to have your official transcripts sent to our Records and Registration Office for official credit evaluation. They can be emailed to registrar@ocean.edu. If you earned the credits at OCC, we will have them on your student record!
You sure can! We offer classes in-person, online, and with remote options. You can even earn a degree completely online! We aim to work with your schedule.
Also, a quick tip… as a full-time employee, be sure to ask your employer if they offer any type of tuition reimbursement benefits!
OCC allows students to use self-guided placement to register for their classes. Placement test have become a thing of the past! For more information on the different classes, view the Self-Guided Placement Webpage.
Still not sure? No problem! Reach out to Calleigh at the contact information on the bottom of the page and she can help!
If you have questions at any point in the process, connect with Calleigh Kearns for assistance!

The first step to paying for college is filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
In addition to the FAFSA, there are scholarship opportunities and other alternative funding options available at OCC.
