A Commitment to Digital Accessibility
At OCC, we are committed to ensuring our digital content and services are accessible to everyone. This effort aligns with the Americans with Disabilities Act Title II, which mandates that public services—including our college websites and mobile apps—be usable by people with disabilities and those who use assistive technology.
Using the OCC Digital Accessibility Plan, we aim to meet full compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards by April, 2026, and continue to comply with the most recent federal and state guidelines. Our comprehensive plan includes measurable milestones across digital content, instructional materials, and communication to make sure our campus is a welcoming and inclusive place for all. Our strategy prioritizes collaboration across departments, from IT and academic affairs to the library and bookstore and includes ongoing training and support for our faculty and staff.

Our campus-wide WCAG 2.1 AA Committee is tasked with developing and implementing our digital accessibility plan. The committee’s charge is to establish a formal accessibility policy, create a process for reporting concerns, and ensure all our digital resources meet the necessary standards.
OCC’s commitment to digital accessibility is outlined in our official policy. We’re also dedicated to hearing from our community. If you encounter any digital accessibility barriers or have feedback, please use our Accessibility Concerns Reporting Form (Coming Soon).
To support our campus community in this effort, we provide a variety of training and resources. These materials will help you create accessible content and documents, ensuring all our digital materials are usable by everyone. Access all of our training materials, guides, and tools through the employee portal.
