Accepted Students

Now that you’ve applied, you can begin the process of enrollment and prepare for the first day of class.

Whether you plan to attend full-time, part-time, or are visiting or non-degree seeking, we’re here to make sure you’re set up for success.

Below you’ll find a step-by-step guide to help you take care of all of the details that come with enrolling.

Enrollment Steps

Degree Seeking

  • Determine your College Readiness
    • Visit the College Readiness page to determine if you need to take any additional steps prior to registering for classes. If you’ve completed previous college coursework, learn more about the transfer process.
    • Transcripts from high school and/or college may be used to determine your college readiness, financial aid eligibility and any credit for previous college level coursework (Transfer, AP, etc.).
  • Secure Financing for your Education
  • Arrange for Payment
    • Not sure how you’re paying for classes yet? Set up a payment plan or pay in full online through Ocean Connect.
  • Prepare for Class
    • Students can obtain an OCC ID card at The Hub, Administration Building, Floor #1. Make sure you’ve registered for classes and be sure to bring a photo ID!
    • Books can be purchased online or in person through the OCC Bookstore located in the Student Center (#8). Also, find out if you can use your financial aid to purchase your books.
    • Classes are available in Canvas on your first day of the term
  • Submit your Immunization Form

Visiting or Non-Degree

  • How to Register

    • Send an unofficial transcript from your current institution or a photocopy of your School ID to for permission to register.
    • Once confirmed, register for classes through WebAdvisor on the Ocean Connect portal.
  • Arrange for Payment
    • Pay your balance or set up a tuition payment plan online through Ocean Connect, or visit the Cashier’s office on campus (Admin. Building, #1).
    • Visiting or Non-Degree students are not eligible for financial aid.
  • Prepare for Class
    • Books can be purchased at the OCC bookstore, located in the Student Center, or online.
    • Students can obtain an OCC ID card at The Hub, Administration Building, floor #1. You will need to be enrolled in classes and bring a photo ID. (Optional for visiting & non-degree students)

Visiting students are currently enrolled at another institution and are taking classes to transfer back to their home institution.

Non-Degree students are not pursuing a degree or certificate at OCC, but are taking classes for reasons such as completing prerequisites or personal enrichment.

Get Involved!

OCC offers a variety of ways to get involved! The Student Life Office has over 60 active clubs and organizations, intramural and club sports, as well as student leadership opportunities.

In addition, OCC is home to 14 competitive NJCAA intercollegiate athletic teams.
