Why Study Nursing at OCC?
Ocean County College’s nursing program is a planned, two-year curriculum of classroom study and clinical experience that prepares graduates for employment in various health care settings. Successful completion of the program leads to the Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree and eligibility to take the licensure examination for Registered Nurses in New Jersey.

What You Will Learn
The School of Nursing and Health Science aims to empower students interested in Nursing and careers in Health Science by integrating industry-driven curricula with hands-on-lab and clinical experiences. The school equips graduates with vital skills for delivering diagnostic, preventative, therapeutic, and rehabilitative services.
Core skills and competencies include:
- Apply critical thinking skills in effective clinical decision making

Where Passion Becomes a Career
Successful completion of the program leads to the Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S) degree and is intended to prepare students for immediate entry into the workplace. Graduates take the licensure examination to practice as Registered Nurses (RN).
