It’s that time of year for spring cleaning and there’s no better way to do that than with Ocean Prism’s biannual Clothing Swap! This semester, they’re partnering with Art Club and Helping Hands to provide community resources, as well as education on how to be the most eco-friendly with your clothes. This is a great opportunity to donate clothing and food items, as well as shop for items (free of charge) that you may be in need of. Additionally, Helping Hands has arranged for a SNAP Navigator to be in attendance for anyone who may be interested in determining their eligibility or apply for SNAP benefits.

When: Wednesday, May 6th from 9:00am-6:00pm

Where: Student Center Annex (Building 8)

  • Feel free to donate shirts, shorts, pants, dresses, socks, shoes, and other accessories, as well as food for the Helping Hands food drive!
  • Please make sure they are washed and free of excessive stains or tears.
  • You DO NOT need to donate in order to shop!
  • There are boxes around campus to put donated clothing in, but you can also drop off your clothes on the day of the event.
  • Helping Hands will be supplying hygiene kits and products on the day of the event.
  • The clubs are always looking for volunteers on the day of the event, so feel free to come by and help out!
  • All remaining clothing items at the end of the event will be donated to a local nonprofit of the clubs’ choosing.
