Join the Counseling Center on Thursday, October 9, for two powerful events in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month!
Kick off the day from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in INST (Building 5, Room 114) with a panel discussion hosted by the Social Work Club. Mental health professionals and advocates from Providence House Domestic Violence Services of Catholic Charities and St. Francis Counseling Service will answer questions and provide insight into the realities of domestic violence, as well as the resources available for support.
Following the panel, visit the Campus Mall from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. for Empowerment Self-Defense with Rachel Piazza. This interactive workshop will go beyond traditional self-defense, teaching participants how to navigate difficult interactions, build healthier relationships, and enforce boundaries in a safe environment. Open to all genders, fitness levels, and physical abilities.
