One Sky Project

One Sky Project is an international collaboration focused on increasing understanding about cultural and indigenous astronomy, its historical and modern applications, and how our One Sky connects us all. Winner of the best short film at the Macon Film Festival 2023 in Georgia. 6 short films that touch on the topics of finding patterns and building tools that foster connection to the sky and leverage astronomical phenomena to advance societal goals. Each short film represents the perspective of a different culture or Indigenous society from around the globe. Each film stands alone as a short story or in combination as a longer narrative – organized around themes of “Finding Patterns” and developing tools, or as we say, “To Seek Far.”

The 6 short films are:

  • Finding Patterns: The Forge of Artemis
  • To Seek Far: Thunderbird
  • To Seek Far: Jai Singh’s Dream
  • Finding Patterns: Celestial Canoe
  • Finding Patterns: The Samurai and Stars
  • Finding Patterns: Wayfinders

Fulldome Film
Recommended for grades 3 and up.
This entire show is approximately 45 minutes long.
