Navigating life transitions where we will read empowering practical books. For more information about the program or to apply please click here go.ocean.edu/DisplacedHomemakers
For a long time, your energy went into caring for others. This space will be dedicated entirely to you-a supportive, low pressure environment to focus on self-esteem, rebuild confidence, and reclaim the path forward with the bonus of coming together and meeting other members.
Our book club will kick off with The Confidence Code; Katty Kay & Claire Shipman: “There is a quality that sets some people apart. It is hard to define but easy to recognize. With it, you can take on the world, without it, you live stuck at the starting block of your potential”
The first meeting will require no reading. We will simply introduce ourselves, set a few comfort guidelines, and hand out the book. Over the month everyone will read the book independently and then come together at the second meeting to discuss and share how the ideas and information resonate.
Date: August 27 and October 1
One registration for the two dates. In order to maintain comfortability of all participants, attendance at August 27 “meet your peers” is required for “book discussion” October 1.
Time: 6-7p.m.
Location: Ocean County College Library (building #3) Room #110
