Seton Hall is one of the oldest leading Catholic Universities founded in 1856 by Reverend James Roosevelt Bayley, the first Bishop of Newark. Named for his aunt, Elizabeth Ann Seton, Seton Hall is one of the oldest diocesan universities in the country. We are a diverse, welcoming community that focuses on teaching respect, understanding, compassion, integrity, and servant leadership.

Seton Hall offers over 90+ majors and programs for students. We currently have 6,000 undergraduate students and 3,600 graduate students hailing from 46 states and 43 countries.

We are ranked Top 5 internships nationally and we offer students 17k+ professional work experiences. Students are given a close faculty mentorship as our student-to-faculty ratio is 14:1.

Seton Hall is located in the village of South Orange, NJ. We are 14 miles from NYC and students have access to NJ transit to travel to and from the city. We have 22 Greek organizations and 150+ clubs for students to join.

Lastly, we are a D1 school with 14 Division 1 Athletic Teams and are involved in the Big East Conference. In addition, we also have over 25 Club and & Intermural sports which about 50% of our students participate in.
