Ty “Dancing Wolf” Ellis is coming to OCC on Tuesday November 4th at 4:30 p.m. with his program “The Strength of Song and Dance,” which will feature evocative music and rhythmic movements traditional to the Lenape and Nanticoke tribes, and modern to all indigenous people.
The Ellis-Gould family of the Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape tribe, and Lenapehoking Reestablishment Project, will be exhibiting some of these dance styles, educating the public on a variety of art forms, and speaking on how some untold histories of Indigenous people have directly impacted how Lenape people live today.
