Veterinary Assistants are an integral part of the veterinary healthcare team working under the supervision of a veterinarian/credentialed veterinary technician. Through this NAVTA approved program, get trained to provide assistance in animal nursing, behavior & restraint, emergency response, laboratory procedures, office procedures & client relations, pharmacy, preventative healthcare, radiology, and surgical & recovery room assistance.
Receive 180 hours (80 classroom, 100 clinical). The Program Director determines the clinical schedule. Get the class schedule on the first day.

Successful graduates receive an Ocean County College Certificate of Completion and will be eligible to sit for the National Approved Veterinary Assistant NAVTA Exam. The NAVTA exam fee is $100.
