Veterinary Assistant

Employment of veterinary assistants is projected to grow 19 percent from 2016 to 2026, much faster than the average for all occupations.

Veterinary Assistants are an integral part of the veterinary healthcare team working under the supervision of a veterinarian/credentialed veterinary technician. In this program you will learn how to provide assistance in animal nursing, behavior & restraint, emergency response, laboratory procedures, office procedures & client relations, pharmacy, preventative healthcare, radiology, and surgical & recovery room assistance.

As a successful graduate, receive an OCC Certificate of Completion and be eligible to sit for the national approved Veterinary Assistant NAVTA exam.
