Anais Mompoint joined Ocean County College in 2024 as the Social Work Program Chair and Professor.
She is a native of Port-au-Prince, Haiti. She completed her Associate’s Degree at Broward College in Davie, FL. She transferred to the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL, to earn her Bachelor’s in Social Work with a minor in Gerontology. She pursued her Master’s degree at Columbia University School of Social Work in Advanced Generalist Practice and Programming with a concentration in Children, Youth, and Families.
Professor Mompoint started teaching in 2020 as an adjunct social work lecturer for the MSW program at Boston University and Fordham University. She supported the launch and curriculum design for the first-ever BSW program at William Paterson University, where she taught and served as a Faculty Mentor.
She has served in various roles within New York City’s Children’s Services system, including residential treatment centers, preventive services, and foster boarding homes. Her career in social services also included organizations in Philadelphia supporting those impacted by chronic homelessness and in South Jersey working with unaccompanied minors. She is a registered therapist/clinician working with those committed to their healing journey and mental wellness.
