 The
OCC intercollegiate sailing team is open to
all full time OCC students. NO experience
is necessary to join!
We host both a spring and fall regatta and have
many ambitious goals for our new program. The College
is committed to providing a first class sailing
experience and training ground for our future captains
and crew members in Ocean County.
OCC has acquired 12 new 420s from generous donations
from the surrounding community. We have a 12 man
dinghy team, a women’s dinghy team, a single
handed team and are in the process of developing
an off shore sloop team.
Aspirations for the team are high — OCC expects
to house the premier sailing program on the East
Coast. We plan to develop clubhouse facilities,
acquire floating docks and purchase seven additional
420 Sailboats.
