Tuition Rates & Fees for Full-Time and Part-Time Students
Beginning in Fall 2020, the tuition rate includes the college/student fee and technology fee.
County residents: $175.00/semester hour
E-Learning Courses – County residents: $175.00/semester hour
E-Learning Courses – Out-of-County residents: $193.00/semester hour
Out-of-County residents: $193.00/semester hour
Out-of-State or foreign residents: $270.00/semester hour
E-Learning Courses – Out-of-State residents: $270.00/semester hour
High School Students: $175.00/semester hour (after applied Trustee Discount of $70.00 totaling $105.00/semester hour)
Silver Edge Senior Citizens: $97.00/semester hour
Tuition Deposit (Nursing Students Only)
A $300.00 non-refundable tuition deposit is required of newly accepted nursing students.
Full-time and part-time students pay a college/student fee of $19.00 per credit hour through Summer 2020.* The fee represents partial subsidy of the following services:
- College Budget
- Intercollegiate Athletics
- Student Life Office Administration Operations
- Health Service Office
- Transfer & Placement
- Financial Aid
- Student Life Fund
- Clubs & Organizations
- College Center Building Fund
In addition, full-time and part-time students pay a technology fee of $12.50 per credit hour through Summer 2020.*
*Beginning in Fall 2020, the college/student fee and technology fee will be incorporated in the tuition rate.
Course or Material Fees
A course or material fee listed below will be required of all students enrolled in certain designated courses. Fee categories appear at the conclusion of applicable course descriptions. A special table of fees, not shown here, also exists for International Education Courses.

In addition to the above, students may be required to purchase material for their own use in conjunction with certain courses as noted at the end of those course descriptions. These costs will be identified by the course instructor and will not be included on the student’s bill prepared by the college.
Tuition and Fees Payment
Tuition and fee payment arrangements should be made at the time of registration. Checks or money orders (made payable to Ocean County College), cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover are accepted. We do not charge any additional fees for credit card payments.

Tuition Payment Plans
Ocean County College offers a payment plan that divides the tuition and fee payments into equal installments, after pending financial aid and scholarships are considered and the initial deposit. Students can put 10% down and then pay 3 equal monthly payments in September, October, and November, due on the day of the month that you started your payment plan.

Ocean County Residents
Any person with a permanent Ocean County Address is an Ocean County resident. Proof of residency is a valid New Jersey Voter Registration card, a Motor Vehicle Registration, a driver’s license, or a County ID card. Ocean County College admissions priority is given to Ocean County residents. (Armed Forces personnel and their dependents stationed in Ocean County are considered Ocean County residents.)

A person in the United States who is not of permanent residence, with non-immigrant status as defined by the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service. Persons in this category may need to file an I-20 student visa form.
