Welcome to the Ocean County College Testing Center! Our center is the place to go for academic and certification testing. Our mission is to administer professionally proctored exams and meet individuals’ needs to help with academic or professional success. We are committed to maintaining academic integrity and we adhere to the National College Testing Association Standards and Guidelines.

When you apply to OCC, you may need to take a placement test to determine which English and math courses you need to take, or you may want to see if you can place into advanced-level math courses. We offer these tests on-site six days a week, as well as online. You can make an appointment or request to schedule a remote placement test with a virtual proctor by going to go.ocean.edu/test.

The mission of Student Support Services (SSS) at Ocean County College is to assist and encourage first-generation college students, low-income college students, and college students with disabilities to complete an associate degree. Our staff understands the challenges these students face better than many others: every member of the SSS team either identifies as first-generation, low-income, or a person with a disability.

SSS operates in a holistic, inclusive, and collaborative environment, and aims to immerse students in a challenging and engaging student experience by connecting students with vital campus support services.  Along with the academic services provided by the program, SSS takes students on cultural trips, like Broadway shows, symphonies, museum trips, and more- all free of charge.

Hello, and welcome to the Veteran Military Resource Center, also known as the VMRC. We are here to guide our military-affiliated students- like active-duty members, National Guard, reservists, veterans, and their dependents- to become engaged and successful Ocean County College students.

OCC’s veterans and military program offers more than just state-of-the-art VMRC. This year, Ocean County College was named one of the “Best for Vets” community colleges by the Military Times. The college was recognized for its affordability for military-affiliated students, as well as the decades of support OCC has dedicated to the community.

Several OCC clubs and departments hold their activities on the Grunin Center stage, and classes frequently visit for lectures and special events.

Next to the Grunin Center is the Robert J. Novins Planetarium. The 100-seat planetarium offers a wide array of educational and entertaining shows for people of all ages. The dome creates an immersive video space for all the awesome laser shows, sky shows, and full-dome movies we schedule every semester. There are several special events available to students, staff, and faculty throughout the year, as well as educational opportunities for classes in the dome.
