The core purpose of Institutional Research (IR) is to support data-informed decision-making campus-wide. This is achieved by providing timely, accurate, and meaningful data and analysis to campus constituents in an easily understood format. In addition, IR supports compliance with regulatory reporting including but not limited to, federal, state, and accrediting agencies.
The Environmental Scan provides detailed trends and projections of Ocean County College’s population and communities that may effect the advancement of the college’s overall mission. The College utilizes this data in order to distinguish important trends and better understand external influences that impact the institution.
In addition to the fact book and environmental scan, the Office of Institutional Research publishes a variety of reports to support decisions across campus.
These include:
College employees may request data and assistance from Institutional Research for college-related purposes
Non-college employees wishing to conduct research at Ocean County College must comply with Policy #2335.
College employees wishing to conduct research for non-related work initiatives (ie: dissertation research, thesis research) must also comply with this policy.
All external research requests must be submitted through the Research Application Form.*
* Please note, this is not to be utilized for OPRA requests.
The Enrollment Dashboards provide an in-depth look into current and past enrollment at Ocean County College.
