Transfer Events

Ocean County College offers many events on campus to help you navigate the transfer process and decide which college is best for you. These events include, Information Sessions, Workshops, Instant Decision and college visits to find out how your credits will transfer, meet representatives and more.


TRANSFER WORKSHOPS

Step One: General Transfer WorkshopS

Students are required to attend a workshop prior to meeting with a Transfer Advisor. At the General Transfer Workshop, students will learn how:

  • to plan for a successful transfer
  • to utilize NJ Transfer
  • to use college websites to gather information
  • to select a major that aligns with transfer and career goals

Drew is a nationally ranked private, liberal arts college located in northern New Jersey.  

Learn about the broad array of majors and minors offered, the ease of the transfer application process, and the generous scholarships automatically awarded at the point of admission.

These scholarships range between $15,000 and $25,000.  Phi Theta Kappa students receive an additional $3,000.  Scholarships are automatically renewable for an additional two years.

Drew guarantees that all students with an A.A. or A.S. will transfer with a minimum of 64 transfer credits and their general education requirements will be considered satisfied!

Do you know that national security and cybersecurity are among the most in-demand fields? Explore New Jersey City University’s Professional Security Studies Department! We offer Bachelor of Science degrees in National Security Studies and Cybersecurity, along with certificates in Forensics, Global Diplomacy and International Security, Intelligence, Terrorism, Risk Management, Data Analysis, and Extremist Groups.

PRINCETON UNIVERSITY PARTNERSHIP

Princeton University’s Emma Bloomberg Center for Access and Opportunity in partnership with Ocean County College has two summer programs available for students to engage in mentoring, academic curricula, professional development, and research. 

Princeton Transfer Scholar Initiative enrolls eligible students in a free eight-week course, at the Princeton campus. Transfer Scholars will engage with Princeton faculty, students, and have access to campus resources including mentoring for transfer success to plan their four-year applications and materials.

ASAP is an eight-week summer internship on the Princeton campus for students interested in humanities and qualitative social science careers. Students complete professional development and research methods workshops, as well as a Princeton faculty or staff member to conduct research or participate in an internship. ASAP interns must be available to continue their work at Princeton into the fall semester.
