CAREER INFORMATION RESEARCH GUIDE

Find Books

Use the Library Catalog to locate books in the library on your topic:

  • Perform an All Fields search (the default setting) using keywords such as “accounting AND career.” These searches will search the entire records of all the items in the catalog, including author, title, and subject areas.
  • Perform a subject search using a keyword phrase such as “vocational guidance” or “job hunting” to find general career information or try searching for a specific industry, such as “nursing.”

Find Articles

The Facts on File subscription service offers access to Ferguson’s Career Guidance Center, a database with job profiles, career advice and more. From on campus only, you can access this database from our database list, under General/Reference.

To access this database from off campus, you will need to log in to your Ocean Connect account. Click here for directions on accessing the database list through Ocean Connect.
