Society for Collegiate Journalist
Purpose is to elevate the cause of mass communications at the collegiate level; to teach the ethics, and mechanics of good communication; to encourage student participation in local campus communications media; to foster the mutual welfare of the student media to develop the truest fraternal spirit among its members; and to reward student communicators for their efforts, services, and accomplishments by admission to its membership.
Seascape — Student Literary Magazine
The members of this group publish “Seascape,” OCC’s literary magazine. Constructive criticism of both classical and modern literary works is sponsored by the club through discussions, guest speakers, and individual analysis.
Viking News — Student Newspaper
The Viking News is a weekly student newspaper that functions as a channel of communication and exchange among all elements of the college community. A member of the Associated College Press, the Viking news has attained the ACP’s All-American honor rating, the highest rating possible in collegiate journalism.
The purpose of this club is to record OCC activities on and off campus. The club will also support media requests from other OCC clubs.

The Student-run Radio Station provides its members with practical experience in all aspects of the field of broadcasting and management of a radio station
