In compliance with the State’s Covid-19 guidelines public and in-person access to the OCC Testing Center is not permitted until further notice. The Testing Center offers remote testing for Accuplacer (the OCC Placement Test), TEAS (Pre-Nursing Test of Essential Academic Skills), the Music Theory Placement Test, and the Technology Test-Out. You may schedule one of these tests online. For all other tests, please contact the Test Vendor for information about in-person testing locations.
For Covid-19 testing information and appointments, please visit the Ocean County Health Department website at https://www.ochd.org/ or call 732.341.9700 ext.7411.
English and mathematics test scores are no longer required for students who plan to enroll for Fall 2021. However, we still offer the Accuplacer test for anyone who chooses to take it. *Follow the link to our Self-Guided Placement for more information about enrolling without testing.*
Guidelines set forth by the School of Nursing. Anyone who wants to enroll in the ADN Nursing program at OCC must take and pass the ATITEAS test at OCC. Current OCC students need this passing score in order to receive a date of completion.
Students are required to satisfy a Technology general education requirement. Make an appointment to test out of the requirement.
Earn College Credit with CLEP Tests
Earn credit towards your degree through the College Level Examination Program (CLEP)—a group of standardized tests created by the College Board. OCC accepts passing scores for many of these tests, and the Testing Center administers all CLEP tests other than that for Public Speaking.
The following is a list of CLEP Testing Centers – Open for In-Person Testing During COVID.
Please see Attachment A of the OCC Credit by Exam Policy #5140 for the list of CLEP tests accepted at OCC.
