Paying for College

Whether you’re interested in applying for financial aid , using OCC’s payment plan, or still exploring your options, we have the resources to help you make important financial decisions about paying for college. Review the options below and create your personal plan.

OCC encourages all students to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine financial aid eligibility.

Ways to Pay

Students making a one time, payment in full, may choose from the following options:

  • Credit/debit card payments may be made online through Ocean Connect Self Service (My Ocean>Ocean Connect>Student Finance) or in person or by calling The HUB at x482 or in the Administration Building #1 on the first floor.
  • Cash payments will be directed to the Cashier’s Office on the 2nd floor.
  • Check or money order payments may be mailed to:

*Please be sure to include your student ID number or social security number on all check and money order payments.
**A charge of $25.00 will be assessed for all checks returned for non-sufficient funds.

  • Payments can also be made in person using cash, check, credit card or money order. Our business hours are: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m., Wednesday 8:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m., Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

If a student is enrolled in less than 3 credits, payment is required in full at the time of registration.

Ocean County College offers a payment plan that divides the tuition and fee payments into equal installments, after pending financial aid and scholarships are considered, and the initial deposit.

Tuition Payment Plans are available on-line by logging into their My Ocean, Ocean Connect account> Financial Information>Student Finance>Pay for Registration. Additionally, students can visit the HUB or fax the PDF form to 732-864-3847. After the form is faxed, please contact The HUB at x482 to make your first payment. All remaining payments can be made on Ocean Connect, at The HUB, or by mail. Please mail checks a week ahead of the due date to ensure they are received by the due date, to avoid a late payment fee.

To qualify for any of these programs, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

In order to be considered for the following State Aid programs, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and  report additional information to the State of New Jersey.

The OCC College Foundation, as well as local and national organizations and foundations, offers students scholarships based on various criteria and eligibility. The OCC Foundation Scholarship is awarded per semester to multiple recipients. Visit the Foundation Scholarship page to apply for the Foundation Scholarship and others.

Please note: The Foundation Scholarship requires students to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The Federal Work Study program (FWS) is a federally funded financial aid program. The program places financially eligible students on campus in part-time employment so that students can earn funds while attending college. Fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine your eligibility for the FWS today. Learn more about the Work Study Program at OCC on their website.

EOF students will receive both academic and financial support from various programs that are designed to assist in ensuring student success. Learn more about the program and apply on the EOF website.

Veterans’ Education Benefits provide college funding to active, veteran, and military affiliated students. In order qualify for these benefits,  you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and meet other eligibility requirements. Students wishing to take advantage of V.A benefits & programs at OCC must meet with the Veterans Coordinator to apply, register for classes and certify enrollment with the V.A. The Community College Opportunity Grant pays up to the full cost of tuition for up to 18 credit hours and approved educational fees. Students  must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and  report additional information to the State of New Jersey to be considered for this grant. Fall and Spring Tuition Payment Plan

Ocean County College offers a payment plan that divides the tuition and fee payments into equal installments, after pending financial aid and scholarships are considered, and the initial deposit. At the time of registration, the student should sign up for the payment plan, and set their due dates. The earlier a student registers, the greater the number of due dates will be available. The first payment plus the contract fee will be due upon setting-up of the plan.

Summer Tuition Payment Plan

Summer payment plan due dates and number of payments vary by term. Please contact The HUB at x482 for details.

Please be advised that students may be dropped, if payment arrangements are not completed. Outstanding financial obligations, to any college department, must be fulfilled prior to new registrations.
