About the Show

A Virtually Celtic Christmas will feature traditional carols, ancient Gaelic hymns beautifully sung, and some classic songs that audiences familiar with Londra’s recordings will know well. The concert’s musical director, renowned Irish composer Liam Bates, has composed gorgeous choral arrangements for the evening. Guest artists include New York Times best-selling author Eoin Colfer, who, along with Bates, penned the Christmas musical NOËL, tunes from which will be included in the concert. West End star and Northern Ireland native Zoe Rainey (Wicked, Hairspray) will also make an appearance. Listen for songs such as “In the Bleak Midwinter;; “The Wexford Carol,” “Winter, Fire and Snow,” and a host of other tunes to warm you on a winter’s evening.

About Michael Londra

Michael Londra is originally from Wexford, Ireland, home of the National Opera House, and was the first local to perform at this beautiful space when it opened in 2009. He is perhaps best known as the lead voice of Riverdance on Broadway and for his Emmy®-nominated show Beyond Celtic on PBS. Over the past year, Londra has spent time in his homeland filming Ireland with Michael, a travel and music show featuring some of the country’s biggest stars, set to air on PBS in the spring of 2021. Audiences of A Virtually Celtic Christmas will get a special glimpse of this show during the concert event, and will learn about Londra’s love for his home county and traditional music, as well as his special connection to John F. Kennedy and the Kennedy family.
